Creating Ticket Categories
Create Ticket Categories users can choose from
VersaTix allows you to create ticket categories to organise and streamline support inquiries in your Discord server. With ticket categories, you can easily manage different types of support requests and direct them to the appropriate staff members. To create ticket categories using VersaTix, follow these steps:
Step 1: Running the "/ticketcat add" Command
To initiate the process of creating a new ticket category, open any text channel on your Discord server where VersaTix is present and enter the following command: /ticketcat add
When running the command you will need to specify the details of the new ticket category. The details you will be asked to enter are as follows:
Category Name: Enter a descriptive name for the ticket category. This name will be used to identify the category and will be displayed to users when they select the appropriate category for their support inquiry.
Staff Roles: Mention the staff role(s) that should have access to tickets created under this category. Users with the specified staff role(s) will be able to view and respond to tickets within this category.
For example, if you entered /ticketcat add Support Support Team
, a ticket category name "Support" will be created. If the user selects this category when creating a ticket, staff members with "Support Team" role will have access to it.
Other Category examples:
Management
Allow users to contact server management
Support
Allow users to contact support team
Partnerships
Allow users to create a ticket regarding a partnership
Step 2: Confirmation
After providing the category details, VersaTix will display a confirmation message summarising your choices
Step 3: Using Ticket Categories
Once you've created ticket categories, users will be able to select from the specified categories when they create a new ticket. When attempting to open a new ticket, VersaTix will present a list of available categories, and users can choose the appropriate category for their support request.
